Mindfulness is the skill of being present or aware of your thoughts and feelings. It helps observe yourself without reacting or judging yourself. It is used to help reduce stress and avoid negative responses to situations.

SEL or Social Emotional Learning is an important part of human development. According to the nonprofit Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, these are the main competencies needed for a positive and healthy development: Self-awareness, Self-management, Responsible Decision-Making, Social Awareness and Relationship Skills.
